Individual Psychotherapy in New York
For Adults and Teenagers
If you’ve been thinking about therapy for a while, you’re not alone. A lot of people circle the idea for months (or years), unsure if it’s the right time, or if they’re ready, or if talking about problems will make things worse. But problems tend to go underground and wait for an opportunity to come up and be worked through. They come up again and again, giving us a new chance to chose something different, something more in line with deeper awareness, connection and healing. Therapy is about becoming more you with less shame, more clarity, and lots of compassion along the way.
You might be feeling:
Stuck in relationships where you disappear or explode
Exhausted by your own overthinking, over-functioning, or perfectionism
Hyper-aware, super sensitive, or feeling like you’re too much
Lost or not feeling like yourself
Lonely or misunderstood
Overwhelmed by guilt or resentment, especially in parent/child relationships or other close relationships
In our work together, we’ll slow down enough to hear the parts of you that have been screaming (or whispering) for your attention. I’ll help you name patterns, connect dots, notice where shame lives and show you how to start rooting for yourself instead of criticizing yourself.
Sometimes a therapy session is profound. Sometimes it’s just you and I talking while I connect the thread between something you said in a different session and what you’re experiencing today. And that’s the magic: the opportunity for these micro-shifts that begin to change everything.
What to expect from me:
Conversational therapy (we just talk)
Gentle insight without pressure
A sense of relief that finally someone gets it
Laughter that sneaks up in the middle of hard stuff
Permission to be human, messy, brilliant, flawed. You!
A growing loyalty to your voice, needs, and truth
This work is deeply meaningful. And just know that the moment you decide to get to know yourself better, the healing has already begun. The universe rises to meet that kind of courage. So let’s begin.
